Venice

Inter-railing City 7

From a photography point of view Venice is amazing. One of the most unique places in the world, due to its unusual nature. The floating city was a maze, but extremely fun to explore.

The most cliche tourist activity was obviously a gondola ride. It was actually lovely, although quite pricey, at €80 between us. It seemed to be a city regulated thing as there appeared to be only 1 company that did it and only one price available. We were on the boat for about an hour, but the gondolier gave us a full history tour of Venice, telling us about all sorts.

Another city full of incredible architecture.  With the obvious being San Marco, or Saint Mark's Square. with the insane amount of detail under each arch, its just overwhelming, I'm surprised I didn't use a whole roll of camera film on that one building. In case you didn't know, Venice was originally more than 100 tiny islands, which are now linked with around 400 bridges.

Obviously Italy has some massive cuisine perks. Authentic Italian pizza and pasta? I was in heaven. Plus steins bigger than my head, so much beer was drank. I also felt it necessary to try Aperol. As I work on a bar and have always spotted the bright orange stuff, i thought where else to try the Italian liquor than Italy. Not a fan if I'm honest.

I'm aiming to make a site for the average person, for those less able to give up everything and see the world, but still want to. I'm here to display all the places I've been and probably bore you a bit with my life and naff photography.
