Madrid
Inter-railing City 11
Finally Martha and I had the chance to split off from the boys and go find ourselves immersed in photography exhibitions and art galleries. We had potentially one of the best days of the trip. We saw the Vivian Maier, at the Fundacion Canal Isabel II, which is a lovely little gallery. Whilst we were in Madrid there was a city-wide photography event. I was in my element. Martha and I really took advantage of the photography event and saw so many different styles, it really made me think about my own photography.
We also went to a natural history museum and a small aquarium in the park, they were both only a couple of euros each and gave us a reason to get out of the city a bit.
The boys went off and did more football and sports tour, which they seemed to have good things to say about. Again we didn't do massive amounts in Madrid as we were running out of money and steam. In the big cities it was hard to find things to do that weren't museums or galleries, but with such beautiful buildings and so much to explore it wasn't too much of an issue.
Our accommodation was another freebie off my Dad. We stayed in the Eric Vokel apartments and they were perfect. Would definitely recommend these to anyone.
