Bratislava
Inter-railing City 4

So traveling to Bratislava went, to put it bluntly, tits up. With 2 changes along the journey it wasn’t going to be the smoothest anyway. We should have stopped off at Katowice and Breclav, both for under 10 minutes, but with the first train being delayed for hours, literally. Also with us not being on our original train, and quite a large language barrier we couldn’t use our seat reservations, meaning uncomfortable eastern European train seats for us.
Once we finally arrived in Bratislava it was raining, very typical after the travel day from hell that we had. So we decided a taxi to the accommodation was needed. When we got there we went straight to bed.
The next day the boys decided they were going to chill out and not do a lot due to bad weather and pure tiredness, but determined Martha and I went out to explore. I have no idea where we went or how we even found our way home but we did it and what we found was lovely. We stumbled upon a massive park, with the most beautiful flowers in every colour and littered with the most beautiful structures I had seen in a long time.
With only one full day in Slovakia, I felt a bit cheated. I needed more time to see it properly, but time was of the essence and we had to shoot off to Budapest. I would definitely revisit the city, just to have the chance to see the beauty of it and what it has to offer.
