Amsterdam

This is a post about when I visited Amsterdam in winter. To read about Dam in summer and my stop there during my inter-railing trip, check out my other post!

I went across to Amsterdam with 3 friends from High School. We had all been to Amsterdam before but we thought why not have a little break. We had less than 48 hours to see the Winter version of Amsterdam.

The one tourist thing that I wanted to do was visit the Van Gogh Museum, as I didn't do that in summer. It was glorious, with Van Gogh being my favourite artist, I was so disappointed when I missed out last time.

We did all the other tourist stuff, I AMsterdam, the red light district, the coffee shops. As this was a bit of a different trip and a break, we decided on the Amsterdam bar crawl. With it being winter and not that many tourists, the bar crawl was pretty dead. We bought the tickets from the Tours and Tickets in town, and then went off. For the first hour or so they gave free shots, but with it being dead, we got quite drunk. But overall it was an incredible night, definitely worth it, I mean just look at our hangover faces.

So after drunkenly getting locked out of one of our rooms, and then trying to pack hungover and rushed, we made it to the airport on time. It was a needed break from university life.

about The Page

I'm aiming to make a site for the average person, for those less able to give up everything and see the world, but still want to. I'm here to display all the places I've been and probably bore you a bit with my life and naff photography.
